Born: 1889 – St George Middlesex.
Killed in Action 23 April 1918 La Coulotte, (Vimy Ridge) France

Father: William Moulder b1846. Worcs.
Mother: Charlotte Moulder b1843 (nee Lewis). Worcs.
Siblings: Henry: b1870.       Nora:  b1874

Wilfred’s occupation (before enlistment): Jobbing Gardener (1911 census)

Wilfred enlisted in the Royal Army Corps in Cheltenham, service no 6296 and later transferred to the 1st. Btn. Royal West Surrey Regiment, (1 The Queens), service no 18703.
The Royal West Surrey Regiment took part in the April 1917 Arras offensive.  They were involved in the 9th April attack on the Vimy Ridge along with the Canadian Corps attached to 5th Division.
Killed in action during attack on La Coulotte 23rd April 1917.
He has no known grave.
Commemorated on the Arras memorial and named on the Leckhampton, Cheltenham memorial.

November 2014:

    Amazing history and his memory will live on. Myself and my family now live at what used to be called Lawson Villa in Leckhampton, which I assume is on moorend cresent. We were striping the walls yesterday and there was writing on the walls dating back to 1886! Someone’s
    name which we cant quite make out….
